Call for Nominating Committee Members

I would like to open the call for for applications to be a part of the 2011-2012 Nominating Committee!

I need four sisters who have time to dedicate to the chapter over the next month and the willingness to take on one of the toughest roles in Surfing Sisters. The Nominating Committee is responsible for interviewing and selecting the candidates who they feel will be the best possible representatives of our diverse group in the role of our Eboard.
According the the bylaws these are the requirements for being a member of the Nominating Committee:

• Members of the Committee must be active members in good standing who are not seeking office or appointment.
• Members of the Nominating Committee must have been active members of Surfing Sisters for at least one year.
• The Nominating Committee will be composed of Dues Paying Members having various levels of involvement in Surfing Sisters, and who represent a wide range of geographical areas.
• Preferred candidates for the Nominating Committee will also have had prior experience serving on a nominating committee, either as a member of Delta Zeta or of other organizations.
• At least one member of the committee should have past executive board experience.

In addition, I need sisters who are willing to spend several hours on the phone chatting with their sisters about why they want to serve Delta Zeta. I also need women who are willing to speak their mind and be honest about their ideas and thoughts. Finally I will need you to be a bit flexible since we are a bit spread across the globe and might have difficulty finding a good chat time for everyone. If you have Skype it would be a bonus though not required.
